My life with computers.

PixelI started playing with computers in 1981 when they first starting coming out in cars, (I am an ASE Certified Master Mechanic). The computer didn't control much back then, mostly just emissions. As they got more advanced controlling more things, I started buying computerized test equipment and specializing in driveability problems. Then in 1989, a friend and I bought a restaurant, which is when I met my wife. We got married on the summer solstice in 1990. She had my first PC! It was an old 286, but the problem was I couldn't have anything in my house that I couldn't fix. So I bought some books, took some night classes and Comet Computers was born. I closed the restaurant, closed the auto shop and moved into the old restaurant building and started selling and fixing computers. In 1996 we still didn't have local access to the Internet so I started First Internet of Alexander.

PixelIt gets kind of boring just sitting in your office waiting for people to call and sign up so I started looking at source code on web sites to see how they were put together. I found several sites that had tutorials on different aspects of HTML and started practicing. I started just using MS Publisher to make the site, but that has some real bugs in it when it gets to the web, but it does work. I experimented with Front Page, but didn't like that either. I now use a program called Hotdog, and seem to get along pretty well with that. I have created several different sites:

PixelI have added "touches" to other sites as well. I trust my continuing education at Kaplan College will round out my skills in web design. While I would prefer to stay self-employed, I would not turn down a job either.
